University of Technology, Sydney – MBA Scholarship for Outstanding International Students (Commencing)

Course area/ Division: BUS.Faculty of Business

The Faculty of Business offers two scholarships each academic year (one per semester) for MBA by Coursework commencing international students. Scholarships will be awarded solely on the basis of academic merit. If no applicant
satisfies the award conditions then the scholarship will not be awarded.

The scheme does not provide for living allowances, travel or medical costs. The scholarship will be awarded through a reduction of tuition fees. Scholarships will be awarded to the applicant who is the highest achiever and no correspondence will be entered into.

Eligibility

Candidates must:

  1. have applied for admission to the UTS MBA award, course code C04018;
  2. be categorised by UTS as an international student; and
  3. have reached a level of achievement across all subjects in their undergraduate qualification used as a basis for admission to the MBA which is equivalent to/or above an academic achievement of Distinction average (75%) (all subjects studied will be counted).

M.A. / M.Sc. Mathematics Scholarships in India For The Academic Year 2009-2010

The National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) invites applications for the grant of scholarships to students for pursuing studies for M.A. / M.Sc. degree in mathematics.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be motivated B. A. / B. Sc. first class degree holders, or students, who have appeared for B. A. / B. Sc. final year examination and expect a bachelors degree with first class, or B.Sc. (honours) degree holders with at least second class, or students who have appeared for B.Sc. (honours) final year examination and expect a B. Sc. (honours) degree with at least second class. Students who have completed three years of an integrated M. Sc. course with cumulative grades equivalent to first class are eligible to apply. Students with good academic record and who are in M.Sc. (Part-I) or in the fifth year of a 5 year integrated M.Sc. course are also eligible to apply.

Applicants should be below the age of 23 years as on January 1, 2009.Exceptional cases, however, may be considered on merit.

The Scholarship:
Successful candidates will be eligible to receive a scholarship of Rs. 6,000/- (Rs. six thousand only) per month, during their two-year (one year if the student is granted the scholarship during the second year) M.A. / M. Sc. programme. The scholarships are sanctioned for one year at a time and are renewable at the end of the year, subject to satisfactory progress. Students who are in M.Sc. (Part-I) or in the fifth year of a 5 year integrated M.Sc. course will get the scholarship only for one year.

To avail of the scholarship the students have to be enrolled in an appropriate institution, in India, for an M.A. / M.Sc. degree in Mathematics. The scholarship will be paid through the institution they join.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be made on the basis of a written test followed by interview of short-listed candidates. The written test will be held on
Saturday, September 19, 2009. The questions will be primarily in the areas of Algebra, Analysis and Geometry. The test will be for two and half hours and involve questions with short answers. ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia

The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Application period for the 2010 ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia will be open from 6 June 2009 (9 am Indonesia Time) to 15 July 2009 (10pm Indonesia Time).

Students from Indonesia are welcome to apply for the ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three level. Candidates who are not short-listed for the scholarships will be considered for the Merit Awards.

Eligibility

Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:

  • Nationals of Indonesia
  • Born between 1993 to 1995
  • Sat for 2009 SMP 3 National Final Evaluation Examination (UAN) and have done consistently well in school

Important Dates

Any dates given below are tentative and are subject to changes.

Application Period: 6 June to 15 July 2009 , 10 pm( Indonesia time)
Selection Test: Mid August 2009
Selection Interview: Late September 2009

MBA Scholarships provided by the Republic of Cyprus for the academic year 2009-2010

The Republic of Cyprus is offering five (5) full scholarships of 12-months duration to study for the attainment of the University of Nicosia Master in Business Administration Programme for the academic year 2009-2010. Eligible candidates are citizens of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Application Procedure
In order to submit an application for scholarship, the applicant must attain an official endorsement by his/her country`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs by completing the Endorsement Form, which must be submitted along with the application form (detailed instructions on the endorsement procedure are included in the endorsement form). The applicants must then submit their applications along with the endorsement form at a Competent Consular Authority of the Republic of Cyprus of their choice.
