NA Foundation Doctoral Scholarship, 2009
Scholarship is a awarded to a nurse (RN ) pursuing a doctoral degree in nursing (PhD or DNP). This doctoral scholarship is being offered with the intent of assisting its recipient to prepare for a career as a faculty member at a college of nursing.
Requirements:
- Applicants must show proof of acceptance and enrollment into an accredited doctoral program in nursing and must include a statement about their career intent.
- Applicants who are more than six months beyond the completion of all formal coursework and comprehensive examinations, are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- This scholarship is intended to address some of the nursing shortage issues that result from the lack of availability of nursing faculty.
- Applicants must be pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing.
Number of Awards: Two (2) Submission Deadline: June 1, 2009
Amount of Award: $5,000 Recipient Notified: August 10, 2009
