The work group Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology focuses on drug transport across biological barriers (especially intestines, lungs, and skin) as well as modern drug delivery systems (nanoparticulate carriers). Furthermore, the development of cell and tissue based in vitro models as an alternative to animal experiments is an important part of our research.

Funded by DFG, the interactions between mucus and surfactant proteins with enginereed nanoparticles shall be investigated, with the idea in mind to improve theier efficacy and safety for pulmonary drug delivery.

Eligibility:

Mandatory conditions for employment are:
- Masters Degree in pharmacy, biochemistry or biology and interest in applied basic research.
- Speak and write English fluently.

Applicants with experience with protein analysis and molecular biology will be preferred.
